Raspberries

We have two types of raspberries. They are summer bearing and fall bearing. They are equally delicious and the season is approximately from the middle of July until October. Raspberries are very perishable. Freeze or home can them the same day they are picked. We do not recommend storing them fresh at all. Raspberries need to be picked when the berries are dry.

Strawberries

Strawberry season is about June l5 to July l5. This is weather related and is an approximate time. The best strawberry picking is early in the morning before the sun gets high and hot. The berries are cool at this time. Refrigerate the berries immediately. Freeze with or without sugar. Jam and jelly making are great ways to store the berries.
